This is a virtual pet of a bird by Gyaoppi. Several versions of this have come out, with different shells or part of Gyaoppi multipets. I’ve also seen this one as a Digit Midget Chuppi. I didn’t really have a good bird one yet, or a Gyaoppi, so when I saw this one for cheap online I had to have him.

Besides Tamagotchi, Giga Pets were the big name back then when it came to virtual pets. They were slightly cheaper than Tamagotchi, and had more involved programming. They quickly got licensed characters as well. As someone who loves small pixel things and pets, as well the involved IPs, I had to have them.

The Pac-Man Tamagotchi (パックマン たまごっち) is a variant of the Tamagotchi Nano. Part of the celebration of Pac-Man’s 40th anniversary, Tamagotchi and Bandai Namco’s Pac-man did this collaboration. As someone who loves video games, and therefor Pac-man, and Tamagotchi, I was eager to try this one.

Virtual Mickey, also known as Cyber Mickey, is a virtual pet of Mickey Mouse. Unlike other virtual pets, the goal isn’t to raise him, but to become his best friend. As someone who loves Tamagotchi and Disney, it was a no-brainer I bought this one with my saved up money as a kid.

Tamagotchi is the first and most well known virtual pet. The name is a combination of the Japanese word for egg “Tamago” and the English word “watch”. Tamagotchi has the shape of an egg, with a small LCD screen inside and three buttons below it. As someone who loves small pixel things and pets, I had to have one.

This is a virtual pet of a dog. This one was sold in the West as a V-Puppy, but it appears to be a Hitorikko Puppy program with a different shell. This is my childhood and first digital pet, and I love little pixel things, so I got quite a few. Although he wasn’t my favourite back then, I think he’s one of my favourites now.
